About the Hotel
Breede River Lodge offers waterfront rooms, luxury self-catering waterfront units, standard rooms, and fisherman rooms. Most units are self-catering with kitchens and separate freezers for fish storage. Some rooms have balconies overlooking the river. Unit 107 includes Wi-Fi, a TV with satellite channels, a seating area, and a balcony overlooking the harbor.
Dining
The property has three restaurants, including Spasie on Breede, which serves breakfast and supper. Another restaurant is within walking distance. Spasie is privately owned and not part of the accommodation.
Leisure
The main Lodge has an outdoor swimming pool for guest use. Charters and water sports can be arranged through Pili Pili Extreme Sports Centre. The area is popular for fishing and boating.
Location
The lodge is located in Witsand at the mouth of the Breede River. It is close to the beach for sunset walks and offers views of the river and harbor. Parking is available but bays are unmarked.
Services
Services include laundry, invoice provision, and security features such as CCTV in common areas and smoke alarms. Units are individually owned, so amenities vary. Some units lack basics like Wi-Fi, coffee, tea, milk, and sugar. Limited Wi-Fi is available in common areas.
“The sweeping views across the river mouth are undeniably a significant draw, complemented by well-equipped, comfortable units that make for a genuinely relaxing stay. I appreciated the practicalities like good Wi-Fi and thoughtful touches such as fireplaces, all contributing to a sense of being well cared for during my exploration.”
